Q: Do I require any documents to get registered on-line for MCC counselling?
A: You will be required to fill up some of the information that you have given (filled up) in your NEET PG application form, and submitted to National Board Examinations (NBE), New Delhi.

A: So far there has been no official announcement which suggests that NEET 2024 will be conducted twice. As per the official announcement, NTA has revealed that NEET 2024 is scheduled to be conducted on 7th May, 2024 only.

A: To retrieve the forgotten password, the system facilitates the following process - The candidate is required to enter the information that he/she filled at the time of registration and then the security question & answer thereon to be entered as given during the New Candidate registration process. The above data submitted by candidates will be validated with the registered candidates' database. If the above entries match, then only the candidate would be permitted to enter a new password to proceed further.
QUICK NOTE - Candidates are advised to remember the password and also retain their application form and admit cards print out ready till completion of admission process. It is not possible for MCC/NIC to retrieve such a password.
Q: In case I have a Birth Certificate/Caste Certificate/other certificate(s) in regional language, will it be acceptable at the time of reporting/joining?
A: Certificates issued by the competent authority should be in English or Hindi language. Please remember that some of the states insist on a certificate in English language only. Candidates are advised to carry Certified Copy of English version of the original certificate, in case certificate issued is in other language than English along with original certificate.
Q: If there is discrepancy in spelling of name in documents and application form, what do I do?
A: If there is discrepancy in spelling in documents, the candidate must carry proof that the documents belong to the same person, in the form of an affidavit/undertaking.

A: The correction window of NEET application form can be used to change the address. Though the details can be edited using the correction window, candidates are advised to fill the application form carefully and check the details thoroughly before submitting it.
Q: How can I be sure that NTA has received the application fee?
A: This confirmation page that opens up after the payment has been processed successfully is a confirmation that the NEET application fee has been received by the NTA. Save and print this page for future reference.
A: No, the online registration and choice filling can be done from a place of convenience including from home) using the internet. Uninterrupted internet facility should be ensured.
Q: How much time will I be given to join the allotted course?
A: Candidates who are allotted seats will be required to join the allotted college/course within stipulated time from the date of allotment as mentioned in the counselling schedule. However, candidates are advised to join as early as possible and not to wait for last day of joining, due to different schedule of holiday/working hours in various Medical/Dental Colleges, also keeping in view that Medical/Dental colleges will have to furnish information about joining/non-joining status of candidates on Medical Counselling Committee portal. In some of the Colleges it may take 2 to 3 days' time for completion of admission formalities.
Q: In case a candidate applies for both AIQ and Deemed University, will he/she pay the fees for both?
A: No, in such a case the candidate has to pay only the higher fee i.e., of Deemed University Rs. 5000/- as the registration amount and Rs. 2 Lakh as a Refundable Security Deposit amount.
Q: Is this Security Deposit refundable in all the cases?
A: No, this fee will be forfeited if the candidate who has been allotted a seat in the second round or in subsequent Rounds of DGHS does not join the respective institution. Also, the Security Deposit will be forfeited if the admission gets cancelled due to any reason. E.g., in case the candidate gives wrong information at the time of registration on the basis of which a seat may be allotted and later cancelled by the admission authorities at the time of reporting or fails to produce the required documents at the time of admission.
Q: If a sufficient number of qualified PwD candidates are not available then, what will happen to those un-allotted PG seats, reserved for PwD candidates?
A: The un-allotted PG seats earmarked for UR-PwD, SC-PwD, ST-PwD and OBC- PwD will be reverted/converted to respective categories like SC-PwD to SC and so on, during the second Round of AIQ and Mop Up round (Central Universities) of allotment process after processing choices to PwD category candidates in second round and Mop Up Round.
Q: What are the guidelines for choice filling before the first round of the online allotment process & second round of allotment process?
A: The Candidates are advised to fill in choice carefully for seats in (Higher preference to Lowest preference).
Q: Can I modify my choices during the choice submission period for counselling?
A: Yes, you can modify, add or delete your choices during this period, before you lock your choices. However, the registration (of New Users) is permitted up to date and time as per the counselling schedule. Please note that you have to lock your choice by date and time as notified in the counselling Schedule. Its advisable to lock your choices before every round of counselling and take the printout of the same.
Q: Who is not eligible for the Stray Vacancy Round of Deemed/Central Universities?

A: Free exit for 1st round means if a candidate is allotted with a seat in 1st round and even if a candidate does not report/join the allotted college he would not be penalized (security deposit will not be forfeited) and will be eligible for subsequent rounds.
Q: Is it necessary to join the allotted Medical/Dental College of MCC Round 1 to get a chance to participate in MCC Round 2?
A: No, the candidates need not report or join the allotted college of round 1 since there is free exit. However, if they want to hold the Round 1 seat, they can join the college of Round 1 and give a request for up gradation for Round 2.
Q: Is there any restriction to the number of choices of institution and course (MBBS or BDS) during choice filling?
A: There is no restriction, and the candidate is free to select as many choices from the available options. But make sure to enter the choices in the order of preference.
Q: If I mistakenly opt for Deemed Universities seats instead of All India Quota (AIQ), can it be corrected?
A: The candidate can fix the problem using the reset initialization option provided at the registration page. But note that the facility can be used only once.
Q: Is there any medical college which admits only Girls?
A: Yes, at present there are four medical colleges exclusively for Girls, namely Lady Hardinge Medical College Delhi; BPS Govt. Medical College, Sonipat; SVIMS, Sri Padmavathi College for Women, Tirupati and Symbiosis Womenās Medical College, Pune.
Q: What does exit with forfeiture mean in 2nd round of counselling?
A: Exit with forfeiture means if a candidate is allotted with a seat in 2nd round of counselling and does not want to join the allotted seat he can still exit with forfeiture (losing security amount deposited) and once the candidate joins the allotted seat, he/she will not be eligible for resigning/surrender of joined seat.
Q: After I join the second round of counselling of 15% AIQ, can I leave/ resign to join the state Quota/private college seat?
A: Once you join second round seat from 15% All India Quota, you will not be allowed to vacate from allotted 2nd round seat as per direction by Hon'ble supreme court in WP(C) (267/2017) dated 09/05/2017. However, if you are allotted a seat in the second round in AIQ/ Deemed, you can exit with forfeiture of security amount.
Q: Who is the Financial Custodian?
A: HLL Life care Ltd, a Govt. of India Undertaking under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is the Financial Custodian. They will, on behalf of MCC, collect non-refundable Registration Fees and refundable security amounts from the candidates and refund the security amount, on the advice of MCC, to the candidates.
Q: Can a candidate participate in the second round without submitting fresh choices (based on choices submitted before round-1)?
A: Fresh choice submission by eligible candidates is necessary for consideration of seat allotment during round-2. If a candidate does not submit fresh choice(s) during choice filling period, the candidate will not be considered for allotment of seat during Round-2 and will retain the already allotted (joined) seat, if any.

A: Candidates eligible for seat allotment in 2nd round would be one from the following groups:

The Stray Vacancy Round (Round 4) is conducted for Deemed and Central Universities in offline mode at the Institution level for which list of ten times the number of vacancies will be sent by DGHS to Institutes for conduction of Stray which would be exhausted strictly in terms of merit as per the directions laid down in the Dar-Us-Salam case, whereas for AIQ, the stray round would be in online mode.

Q: What are the eligibility criteria for Foreign Nationals?
A: It is not mandatory for foreign nationals to have temporary registration with National Medical Commission (NMC) at the time of writing NEET-PG. Foreign Nationals can write NEET-PG without registration with NMC. The NMC may, on payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the Post Graduate course limited to the medical college/institution to which he/she is admitted for the time being exclusively for pursuing postgraduate studies. Provided further that temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subject to the condition that such person is duly registered with appropriate registering authority in his own country where from he has obtained his Basic Medical qualification, and is duly recognized by the corresponding Medical Council or concerned authority.
Q: What are the eligibility criteria for Foreign Medical Graduates?
A: Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualifications from Medical Colleges outside India should have qualified the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test) as per Screening Test Regulations, 2002 which is conducted by National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences. Further, they should have been registered with the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and should have completed their internship or likely to complete their internship on or before 11th August, 2024. Foreign Medical Graduates are required to bring their FMGE Pass certificate issued by NBEMS on their testing day alongwith the provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by a medical council.
Q: Whether there will be two separate counselling for All India Quota and 50% Institutional Quota on separate days and separate platform?
A: This time there is common counselling software for AIQ/ Deemed University/ Central Institutional Quota/ I.P University & ESIC. Hence, the candidates of 50% Institutional Quota who are eligible for counselling should opt for the choices in order of preference between AIQ and 50% Institutional Quota. The computer will allot the seat in order of choice and merit from the choices filled by the candidate. It is important to note that the preference would be given to the Institutional candidates for their eligible institutions as per the Institution's eligibility criteria.
A: Gap of a year does not affect the eligibility for NEET 2024. Candidates with a gap year will be eligible for NEET 2022.
Q: In Class 11 and 12, I had Biology as an additional subject. Does that make me ineligible for NEET 2024?
A: As per NTA, candidates with Biology as an additional subject are eligible for NEET 2024. Although, the final outcome will depend on the verdict of the special leave petitions filed by MCI. This clause was introduced by MCI for NEET 2018 but was overruled by the Delhi High Court which means that the students with Biology/Biotechnology as an additional subject in Class 11 and 12 are eligible for NEET 2024.
Q: Is there any attempt limit for NEET 2024?
A: There is no attempt limit for NEET 2024. Candidates can appear for NEET ānā number of times.
Q: Will NTA consider my class 12 marks for NEET 2024?
A: The minimum required percentage in Class 12 will only make candidates eligible to appear for NEET 2022 but does not ensure qualification in the exam
Q: What is the qualifying criteria in NEET to get admission into undergraduate medical courses?
A: In order to be eligible for admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses for a particular academic year in case of General, General-EWS, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain a minimum of marks at the 50th percentile in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test.However, in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks shall be at the 40th percentile and in respect of Persons with Disabilities candidates, the minimum marks required shall be at 45th percentile.
A: The result of NEET PG 2024 will include candidate's NEET PG roll number, NEET PG application number, name, father and mother's name, gender, DOB, nationality, category/subcategory, total marks obtained, percentile score, NEET PG All India Rank, NEET PG Qualifying Status, NEET PG AIR for 50% AIQ Seats and NEET PG cut-off scores.

A: The merit list will contain 3 types of rank

A: Actually, the better thing to do will be to download the NEET result and keep a soft copy saved. This way, you can avail it anytime. The link to download is generally available way after the admissions are over but it's advisable to be on the safer side.
Q: How long should I keep the NEET result cum score card?
A: Since the NEET result is the basis of admission to medical courses in the country, it is advisable to keep it safe till your admission formalities are complete. All you have to do is to keep a soft copy for your reference which can be retrieved anytime you need it.
Q: For which courses does the NEET UG Result data entitles for?
A: The NEET (UG) result data is utilized for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, B.Sc. (H) Nursing courses in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules. The NEET (UG) data will also be used for admissions to BVSc & AH courses under the 15% quota of VCI in recognized Veterinary Colleges. Q: Can a candidate remit the Registration Fee and Security Deposit from NRI Account?
A: No, since MCC cannot, as per Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Rules, refund security deposit to NRI Account. If the candidate wants to use the funds available in his/ her NRI Account for registering for counselling, he / she has to first transfer funds from NRI Account to NRO Account and from NRO Account to MCC. The refund from MCC will be credited to NRO Account only.
A: Union Health Minister has confirmed that NEET PG will be scrapped only three years after the enactment of NMC Bill. NEXT will replace the NEET PG exam.
